The Story: Saint Andrew Rublev, one of the world's greatest orthodox (russian) Iconographers, was born near Moscow between 1360 and 1370. First mentioned in the Chronicles in 1405, when he, Theophanes, and Prochorus painted the cathedral of the Annunciation in Moscow. Saint Andrew fell asleep in the Lord between 1427-1430. He is the author of many world- famous Icons and frescoes, and his style has become the canon of Icon painting. Saint Andrew Rublev has left us a priceless Orthodox Christian legacy...
